Oregon Chocolate Festival 2017

We are excited to be vendors at the 13th Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival in Ashland March 3-5 this year!!

Local choco-holics NEED to come to this event!! There’s a spa chocolate cocktail party, chef demos and workshops from the valley’s top artisans, bakers, and chocolatiers, a chocolate maker’s dinner, and even a 5K run!

Ambrosia will have a booth filled with our artisan, gluten-free, and organic baked goods, with food allergy-friendly, paleo, and vegan options too!!


On Saturday, March 4th at 2:30 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites, our CEO & Executive Pastry Chef Sabrina Kate will be showing you how to “Have your chocolate and eat it too” with a demo, recipe, and top secret pro kitchen tricks for a gluten, grain, & refined sugar free, fair-trade, plant-based chocolate treat to make in your own home. Attendees to the demo will receive a 10% off coupon to redeem at Ambrosia’s booth filled with gluten-free, organic chocolate baked goodies!

Ambrosia at True Juice!!!

We are so excited to announce that our baked goods are now available at Grant Pass’ newest organic raw juice & smoothie bar True Juice!!! Ambrosia & True Juice agree that “Food is Medicine”, and this match made in heaven is quickly becoming a favorite for locals with food allergies/intolerances, or for those wanting food integrity — food/drink made with local, organic, and sustainable ingredients.

The Grand Opening for True Juice was on September 10th, and it was a full house!!! We offered samples and debuted our Gluten-Free and Vegan Dark Chocolate Chip Muffins that are available at True Juice, it was so much fun to watch little ones (and big people too!) with food allergies come in and enjoy a treat with big smiles on their faces!!!

Lavender Festival

For the next of our events for 2016, we will be the primary food vendors at this year’s Lavender Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon!!!😀 Join us June 24-26 at Lavender Fields Forever in the Applegate Valley ~ 385 Hamilton Road, Jacksonville, Oregon.

Chef Sabrina Kate has created a completely lavender-inspired menu including beverages, lunch, and desserts featuring the finest therapeutic grade lavender essential oil,  culinary local lavender buds, and organic ingredients.. Zucker Küchen

Zucker Küchen, our newest offering of our Winter Holiday Menu is an Ambrosia Exclusive, you will not find this delicious dessert anywhere else!!!

Our owner & executive pastry chef, Sabrina Kate, grew up with this recipe being handed down generation after generation.. Here is her story about Zucker Küchen:

“Every holiday get-together my father’s side of the family would celebrate with HUGE FEASTS!! The highlight of the meal (at least for us kids) was Great Grandma Katherine’s Zucker Küchen, or what we all called “zooga kooga” lol 😉 My dad’s mama would even mail some to us every Christmas after we had moved far away, and it was a sweet reminder of the times we had spent with all the cousins, aunts, and uncles celebrating.”

Zuker Küchen literally translates in German to “Sugar Cake” and the texture of the cake is light and airy with anise and citrus flavor notes topped with cinnamon streusel and all-natural sprinkles.

Littlest Loyal Ambrosia Customer

We love this little gal so much, we decided to do a blog post just for her!!! ❤ We met Miss E. about 2 1/2 years ago when she was just a baby, sitting in her high chair snacking on some organic fruit while we chatted with mom about doing her first birthday cake. E’s mom wanted an all-organic bakery to do her daughter’s cake to give her the very best right from the start. She’s also got some family members with food allergies we had to be aware of and accommodate for..

For her first birthday, we did an Organic & Gluten Free Piglet-inspired cake with little Miss’s smash cake being the top tier.. The cupcakes were made totally allergen friendly for the guests with food allergies and had hand-sculpted gumpaste flowers adorning them, with the slightest shimmer.


Last year, we made some fun Organic, Gluten-Free Bob & Larry Cupcakes for her CUTE girlie Veggie Tales party!!!

E2bdayAnd THIS year, we went all out for E’s 3rd birthday – a Frozen-inspired Tea Party, complete with delicate little Tea Sandwiches, Strawberry Scones, Mint Chocolate French Macarons, Snowy Cake Pops, and Carrot Ginger Cupcakes topped with Glittery Snowflakes.. All organic and gluten-free!!! (Isn’t she the cutest little Elsa?!) ❤


Her desserts were so pretty, they even got a photoshoot before they left the bakery 😉

Teal Pumpkin Project

1 in 13 kids in the U.S. have at least one food allergy.. This is SUPER frustrating and disheartening as Halloween approaches and parents have to worry about their children getting candy with known allergens in them (gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, etc)…

Food Allergy Research & Education has taken the Teal Pumpkin Project campaign national and even news agencies are supporting the initiative. The Teal Pumpkin Project’s goal is to protect kids with food allergies by letting trick-or-treating families know that there are non-food or allergy-safe options at your house.

As a food allergy sufferer myself and mama to littles with food allergies, this is a VERY exciting and important movement!!! My kids already have their costumes picked out and are excited to be watching for teal pumpkins 😀

Some non-candy ideas to drop in trick-or-treaters bags are: bubbles, play-doh, temporary tattoos, glow sticks, sidewalk chalk, mini puzzles, stickers…

Just 3 weeks ’til Halloween, and little ones (and big people too!) with food allergies should not be left out of the festivities!! French Macarons

Our ambrosial French confections are naturally GLUTENFREE and can be made in many flavor combinations/colors filled with yummy ganaches, fruit fillings, pastry crèmes, and are available for $30 a dozen.

Each macaron is made with a lot of TIME, love, as well as expertise. We use only the freshest and finest organic, GMO-free, and gluten-free ingredients; organic raw sun-dried ground vanilla beans, natural vegetable food dyes, and the finest chocolate from Ashland, OR.

French Macarons are a delicate, sophisticated addition to any special event, and even make great take-home treats for your guests!!!



Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was an exciting time this year as the Ambrosia Team worked hard to celebrate the women who do it all!!!

Simply Smashing Events and Shannon Queen Photography hosted an amazing Mother’s Day Celebration Brunch at the EdenVale Winery for 12 local mothers in the Rogue Valley. The women were nominated and chosen for a full day of pampering: getting hair, nails, and makeup done at a local salon; a catered brunch; professional photos; and lots of take-home goodies.  We were thrilled to participate by spoiling the heck out of these ladies with our most decadent, organic gluten-free gourmet desserts!!!

One of our clients also hosted a Mother’s Day brunch, and she ordered several delicious selections off of our Spring Menu to serve to her guests. Here is what she had to say about her order: “Sabrina at Ambrosia Bakery did a wonderful job in providing fantastic food for my brunch in honor of Mother’s Day. We had the blackberry muffins, lavender vanilla scones, green tea cupcakes, and the asparagus quiche. I love how she uses the best natural ingredients and avoids gluten and provides many alternatives to her already amazing menu. All my guests and I enjoyed everything and the presentation was amazing! Thanks Sabrina!”  We think that and the pictures she submitted says it all!!! 😀
